Exhibition: "After the Fire" at West of Lenin in Seattle, June 20-July 24th, 2015 - Reception June 28th
Late June 2015 brings the return of Michelle's exhibition, "After the Fire" to Seattle. The images were made in 2000 following a fire at the historic home of friends on Vashon Island. The images evoke the beauty both of the home and its contents and the alchemy of transformation that occurred with heat and smoke and water.
The images are presented in West of Lenin's gallery space in conjunction with the show "House #30" by Mik Kuhlman, telling the story of the fire in her home and the subsequent effects on her life.
House #30 will be performed June 26-29, 2015 (PWYC preview June 25th). The exhibition will open June 20th, with a reception on Sunday, June 28th, beginning after the matinee, around 5:15-7:00.
